Following demolition for parking at the 2020 Games in Tokyo, a plan was agreed to completely rebuild the venue in place of the former baseball stadium known as Meiji Jingu. The brand new stadium plans feature the very latest technological advances to enhance both live and television audience experiences. The first professional rugby game to ever to be played at night took part at the Chichibunomiya Rugby Stadium on 2007 when the Japan rugby team took on the mighty Asian Barbarians.
