The multi-talented singer, songwriter, composer and mandolinist Chris Thile has been recording music across the bluegrass, folk, classical and jazz genres for most of his life, and he is known for being a member of the progressive acoustic trio Nickel Creek and the bluegrass ensemble Punch Brothers. Christopher Scott Thile grew up around music, listening to bluegrass bands with his parents and learning to play the mandolin at the age of five.
