Located in San Francisco's North Beach area, Cobb's Comedy Club has featured greats like Dave Chappelle, Bill Burr, Russell Peters, Dave Attell and more. Cobb's Comedy Club headliners are regular guests on late night TV, and many have had their own comedy specials or have appeared in movies and television. The club first opened in 1982 as Cobb's Pub in San Francisco's Marina District. They moved to Fisherman's Wharf in 1987, where they prospered for more than 10 years. After a fire in 2002, Cobb's moved to its current location. The seating capacity is 400, but it can accommodate large groups. Are reservations required?
No, the club's seating is on a first-come, first-served basis. If you have a large party and want to be seated together, please arrive early and with the majority of your party. Wheelchair-accessible tables are available by reservation; please call or email ahead.
Is there parking at the club?
The club has no parking lot, but there is parking available on the street. There are many parking options near Cobb's Comedy Club with most being a five-minute walk or less, and none are further than 15 minutes away. The closest free parking is a three-minute walk from the club.
Is there public transportation nearby?
Public transportation is fairly close, but it won't get you as close to the club as street parking. The Montgomery and Embarcadero MUNI/BART stations are both as close as 1.2 miles. Caltrain gets within 2.1 miles. You can get an Uber, a Lyft or a taxi from there.
Can I take photos?
You may take photos before and after the show. After the announcement to put away cameras and cell phones, photography or video is prohibited. Violators will be expelled without exception.
Is ID required to see a show?
Yes, a valid ID is required for admittance. Those clearly above drinking age may be admitted without ID but will be flagged as underage and will not be served alcoholic beverages.
Is there a drink minimum?
Yes, there is a two-drink minimum per person. It is not required that your drinks be alcoholic. Soft drinks and other non-alcoholic beverages like juice and sparkling waters do count toward the two-drink minimum. Food does not count.
