Craig Campbell Tickets
Although he is Canadian by birth and delivers his routines in a broad North American accent, Craig Campbell, the comedian and vlogger, has lived and worked in the UK for many years. Residing in Devon, Campbell is noted for his wry and observational form of comedy, which often focuses on silly and pompous things from everyday life. Born in 1969, Campbell was formerly part of a comedic trio named the Dinks. He has also hosted TV shows such as Ed’s Late Night and From Wimps to Warriors, to name but two. He has taken part in the Montreal-based comedy festival Just for Laughs and has shared the stage with fellow Canadian Jim Carrey during the earlier part of his show business career.
Craig Campbell's comedic career
After relocating to the UK, Campbell toured the comedy circuit, building up a name for himself with new material and an irreverent stage persona. He appeared on British TV when he was performing at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Al Murray’s show from that event, Edinburgh and Beyond, aired some of the comedian’s performance on BBC Three. Around this time, Campbell was invited to take part on the comedy panel show Have I Got News For You, which was broadcast on BBC One. Another show that Campbell has taken part in for that channel was Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow, which brought him to the attention of many new fans for the first time.
By 2008, Campbell was branching out from his new base in the UK and touring overseas. He embarked on a tour of Kazakhstan that year alongside Nick Wilty. The following year, the comedian landed a prestigious tour support slot when he opened up a series of shows for the renowned Scottish comic, Frankie Boyle. The pairing for the nationwide tour came together once more in 2012, when Campbell again opened these stand-up shows for Boyle.
During the course of 2011, Campbell embarked on his first UK tour under his own auspices. That year, the comic also made an appearance on UKTV’s Dave’s One Night Stand, a comedy special that also featured Chris Addison and Jo Enright. Around this time, Campbell began hosting a monthly comedy night near to his home in Tiverton. Death of a Badger, his DVD release, was unleashed on the public in 2010. In 2017, the comedian announced a new show called Easy Tiger, scheduled to tour during the latter half of that year and into 2018.
