Crazy Ex-Girlfriend Tickets
Crazy Ex-Girlfriend TicketsIt's a comedy, a drama, a host of love stories, an examination of mental health issues and life changes — and a musical. Since premiering in 2015 on The CW, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend has defied easy description. It follows Rebecca Bunch, a young Harvard- and Yale-educated New York lawyer who impulsively decides to move to West Covina, Calif., to pursue her old summer camp boyfriend, Josh Chan. Through the ingenious use of original songs, which cover the spectrum from heavy metal and show tunes to hip-hop and EDM, Rebecca and her new friends learn to cope and sometimes solve their issues. A talented cast, led by the show's creator Rachel Bloom as Rebecca, is taking things on the road for a North American tour, and you won't want to miss it.
A Different Kind of TelevisionActor, singer and composer Rachel Bloom first made a name for herself on YouTube with the 2010 song "F Me, Ray Bradbury," a risque tribute to the legendary science fiction author. Along with her songwriting partner Jack Dolgen, she created a series of on-point pop music videos with subjects such as historically correct portrayals of Disney princesses and revenge porn. These caught the attention of screenwriter Aline Brosh McKenna (The Devil Wears Prada, 27 Dresses), who teamed up with Bloom to create Crazy Ex-Girlfriend. Composer Adam Schlesinger (That Thing You Do, Cry-Baby) came on board to help Bloom and Dolgen with the songs. Originally a Showtime project, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend was picked up by The CW network, where it premiered in 2015 to immediate acclaim. Bloom won a 2016 Golden Globe award for her performance as well as a 2019 Emmy with Dolgen and Schlesinger for the song "Antidepressants Are So Not A Big Deal." The show has also won Emmys for choreography and editing. Bloom announced in 2018 that the fourth season of the show would be the last, and it came to an end in April 2019.
