The tag line for the Cure Bowl is, “ ”Together, we can tackle this!“ ” While the first Cure Bowl game featured teams from the Mountain West Conference and Sun Belt Conference, it now features teams from the American Athletic Conference and the Sun Belt Conference. From 2015 to 2018, Auto Nation was the title sponsor for the Cure Bowl; it has no official title sponsor for the 2019 game. There have been many great matchups over the years. From 2015 to 2018, the Cure Bowl was held at the Camping World Stadium in downtown Orlando. The 2019 game will mark the first time it will be held at Exploria Stadium. What notable players have played at the Cure Bowl?In its short time, the Cure Bowl has seen quite a few notable players. Tyler Ervin was a 2016 third-round draft pick for the Houston Texans. Since 2018 he has played for the Baltimore Ravens. Nick Arbuckle signed with the Canadian football team, the Calgary Stampeders, in 2017. Wil Lutz has played for the New Orleans Saints since 2016. He was chosen to play for the 2016 PFWA All-Rookie Team. Deon Yelder has played for the Kansas City Chiefs since 2018. Mike White was a 2018 fifth-round draft pick for the Dallas Cowboys. McKenzie Milton had a distinguished college football career and was predicted to go onto great things in the NFL. He was a two-time Peach Bowl champion and MVP, a two-time AAC Offensive Player of the Year, a National Champion and an AAC champion. A knee injury cut his career short.

What Cure Bowl notable rivalries have there been?In 2016, Arkansas State went up against UCF. These teams had met up once before in 1991, with UCF winning 31–20. While there were many years between games, Arkansas State came with something to prove. It won the game with an ending score of 31–13. This game was also a fan favorite, with more than 27,000 people in attendance. When Georgia State and Western Kentucky matched off in 2017, Western Kentucky was the favored team. Western Kentucky had gone to five previous bowls, winning three of them, including the 2014 Bahamas Bowl, the 2015 Miami Beach Bowl and the 2016 Boca Raton Bowl. Georgia State managed to pull off its first bowl win, with an ending score of 27–17.
