Denver Outlaws Lacrosse Tickets
How dominant have the expansion Denver Outlaws been since joining the Major League Lacrosse roster in 2006? Very. Consider this: the franchise has missed the MLL playoffs just once, and regularly boasts the league’s highest attendance figures. The Outlaws won their first Steinfeld Cup in 2014, defeating the Rattlers, 12-11, and have since added titles in 2016 (def. the Ohio Machine, 19-18) and 2018 (def. the Rattlers, 16-12.) Their trio of titles is second only to the Chesapeake Bayhawks’ five. Join the team at Broncos Stadium at Mile High as it chases lax glory; grab your Denver Outlaws tickets at StubHub.
Denver Outlaws Info
The defending titlists are riding high after a historic season that saw the Outlaws top the Dallas Rattlers, 16-12, in the MLL Championship. The victory marked the third Steinfeld Cup win in five years for the franchise. It also marked the end of an era, as defenseman Matt Bocklet has played the final professional lacrosse game of his career. Bocklet captained of all three of Denver’s championship teams, and is the franchise’s all-time leader with 144 games played and five MLL All-Star nods. In his absence, BJ O’Hara replenished his troops in a pair of supplemental drafts, including the addition of defensemen James Bassett, Tyler Gaulton and Brendan Gleason.
Denver Outlaws History
The Outlaws have become a major part of the sports scene in and around Denver in just over a decade, as integral to the local sporting community as the Denver Broncos, Colorado Rockies, Denver Nuggets and Colorado Avalanche. The franchise played its inaugural season in 2006 after being added to the league in its first-round of expansion. The team advanced to the MLL Championship that year and drew nearly 70,000 fans to their games, an average of almost 12,000 per game. Denver competed in the Steinfeld Cup finale three times in its first four years of existence, but didn’t win its first title until 2014.
