Dolomite Minor Tickets
Dolomite Minor Thrash and Thrive
Sometimes, you hear a band and know that they have everything it takes to go big. Dolomite Minor feature sexy, provocative vocals, a drum-kit player with nerves of steel and pounding bass guitar lines. These guys evoke the best of The New York Dolls, Led Zeppelin and The Misfits, but bring their sound fully into the 21st century. It's hard to believe the band is only a two person affair. The stripped-down lineup can still pack a powerful enough performance that Dolomite Minor tickets quickly sell out, so quickly secure your spot at the next show.
Dolomite Minor have shows coming up in the United Kingdom. They will be playing at The Black Heart in London, Sticky Mike's Frog Bar in Brighton and a home town show with The Joiners in Southampton. Check the schedule for additional dates to buy Dolomite Minor tickets for a show in your area.
The video for their single "Let Me Go" has received accolades in its own right. It was directed by Mike Bruce, who's known for his videos for the popular Ukrainian rock band Okean Elzy. Distinctively, the video features found black-and-white 16 mm footage of an early 20th century scene where a man is bathing in a bathtub while floating in the air, lifted by a hot air balloon. This is cut with footage of their live performance to create a uniquely surreal effect.
Dolomite Minor formed in Southampton in 2010. The two-piece features Joe Grimshaw playing guitar and singing and Max Palmier on drums. They made their reputation playing festivals like Reading Glastonbury and The Great Escape, gaining a following even as they prepared the release of their debut album. Their distinctive style was described by Clash Magazine's Robin Murray as "[t]hick, sludgy blues, this is Jack White lost in a Louisana swamp, it's the Black Keys with some dirt underneath their fingernails." They're unrepentant rockers reviving the great tradition of British rock 'n roll.
Dolomite Minor were featured in the November 2014 issue of Kerrang! magazine on its list of "The 10 New Rock Tracks Melting Our Ears!" The track "Let Me Go" was featured right below a track by Slipknot with the caption: "Yeah, let me go on your stereo - this rules!" Unquestionably, the band is on the rise and we'll have to wait to see just how far they go.
Dolomite Minor released their debut EP, "The Velvet Print," in 2012. This was followed by their successful single, "Let Me Go," the next year, which received major radio play on the BBC and alternative stations. In 2014, they released another single, "Talk Like An Aztec," which was streamed on Qobuz and a number of other blogs and major music sites. They're signed by Ignition Records and their first full-length album is anticipated with much pleasure.
Dolomite Minor bring their raw rock 'n roll sounds to venues big and small. Seeing the band in the back room of a British pub sounds scintillating, but the show is just as good up on the major stages of Europe's festival circuit, where they're a fan favourite. Dolomite Minor play loud, energetic sets with major amplifier stacks and heavy vocal processing for the full rock and roll experience. Tickets to their shows guarantee a sneak preview of new material and the hit songs that their fans love. Expect shows to have moshing and stage diving, but also provide an option for hanging out toward the back to focus on listening.
