Don Henley Tickets
Don Henley TicketsAmerican singer-songwriter Don Henley first rose to prominence as the drummer and co-lead vocalist for the '70s rock band the Eagles. When the group disbanded in 1980, Henley began a second career as a solo artist, launching such hits as "The Boys of Summer," "The Heart of the Matter" and "The Last Worthless Evening." His musical style has been likened to Jackson Browne and Bruce Hornsby, both former collaborators of Henley's. His efforts as a solo artist have sold more than 10 million albums and yielded eight Top 40 singles, but he's also rejoined the Eagles for various reunion efforts since 1994, making him the sole consistent member of the band since its inception.
Building the Perfect BeastHenley met Glenn Frey when both artists signed with the same record label, and their skills meshed well enough to inspire a partnership. Together with Randy Meisner and Bernie Leadon (who had formerly joined the two as members of Linda Ronstadt's backup band), they formed the Eagles in 1971. Henley's vocals are instantly recognizable to longtime listeners of American radio, thanks to his lead performance on the rock staple, "Hotel California," (among other hits by the Eagles, including "Witchy Woman," "Best of My Love" and "Life in the Fast Lane"). While his first solo effort, I Can't Stand Still, was a reasonably good seller, his breakout occurred in 1984 with the release of his second album, Building the Perfect Beast. The video for that album's hit single, "The Boys of Summer," went on to win the MTV Video Music Award for Best Video of the Year. The song also netted Henley a Grammy Award for Best Male Rock Vocal Performance. Four years later, he would go on to win the same award for "The End of the Innocence," the title track from his third - and even more successful - solo album. More recently, he's gone back to his hometown Texas roots and reinvented himself as a country artist with Cass County, released in 2015.

Where is Don Henley playing?Don Henley will be joining the Eagles for three shows in Las Vegas in the autumn of 2019. The remaining members of the band, together with Deacon Frey and country artist Vince Gill (who have taken over as vocalists following Glenn Frey's death in 2016), will be performing "Hotel California" in its entirety, as well as a selection of its other hits. These performances are scheduled to take place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
What can I expect from a Don Henley concert? When touring as a solo act, Henley alternates between playing drums and guitar while performing his well-known Eagles' hits. For the songs from his solo career, he generally sticks to the guitar (both electric and acoustic) to back up his vocals. As his most recent efforts have been in the country genre, you should expect the instrumentals to lean more toward the acoustic end of the spectrum.
Does Don Henley still tour with the other members of the Eagles? With the exception of Glenn Frey, who passed away in January 2016, the Eagles will still occasionally reunite for concert tours. Henley's upcoming tour includes three shows with the remaining members of the band.
How long does a Don Henley concert usually last? You can expect a typical Don Henley solo appearance to last about 90 minutes, but plan on spending at least two and a half hours at the venue if he's joined onstage by the Eagles.
Are there any other artists similar to Don Henley who are currently touring?Henley has been compared to Jackson Browne and fellow Texan Kenny Rogers, with whom he has collaborated in the past.
