European Grand Prix Tickets
F1 Azerbaijan: the baby of modern motor racing
The Azerbaijan Grand Prix was held for the first time in 2017, making it a baby in comparison to classic races such as the Spanish Grand Prix or the French Grand Prix. Make no mistake, however, it's just as much of a thrill! See for yourself, with F1 Azerbaijan tickets now available to buy and sell through StubHub.
Discover Baku and its glorious race track
Like it's Grand Prix, the modern Republic of Azerbaijan is a young nation, claiming its independence in 1991 before the official termination of the USSR. The country is situated at the crossroads of Europe and Asia in a region known as South Caucasus. The Caspian Sea lines its coast to the east, while bordered by Russia, Georgia, Armenia and Iran. It's capital, Baku, known as City of Winds, lies on the eastern coast and is the largest city on the Caspian Sea, as well as the lowest lying capital in the world, located 28 metres below the level of the sea. It's also home to the Baku City Circuit, host of the Azerbaijan Grand Prix and, in 2016, the European Grand Prix, which, as we all know, is where the magic happens! At just over 6 kilometres in length, the Baku City Circuit is the second-longest track on the calendar, which can only mean more racing for you. Take a motor sports adventure of a lifetime through StubHub, with F1 Azerbaijan tickets available to buy and sell now!
Speed, crashes and all-round drama
The Baku City Circuit was designed by German circuit architect, engineer and racing driver Hermann Tilke and was projected to be the fastest street circuit in the world. Tilke is also famous for designing Istanbul Park, regarded by F1 boss Bernie Ecclestone as the best race track in the world, as well as India's Buddh International Circuit and the Valencia Street Circuit. The first official Azerbaijan Grand Prix was not short of drama. Considered the best race of that year, many will remember Sebastian Vettel purposely crashing into five-time British Grand Prix winner Lewis Hamilton over rage-fueled accusations. The following year saw more action, including another collision, this time between 2017 winner Daniel Ricciardo and his teammate Max Verstappen, sending them both out of the race, allowing Lewis Hamilton to swoop in victorious at the second Azerbaijan Grand Prix. This race certainly offers everything a Formula One fan dreams of: speed, crashes and drama. The best thing is, with StubHub, you can buy and sell your F1 Azerbaijan tickets so you don't have to miss a thing. Hurry, while they are still available.
