Evita San Bernardino Tickets
Evita is considered an iconic, classic and simply wonderful musical production?a smash hit for Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice. The California Theatre plays host to Evita.
The story beings with the narrator, Che, describing Evita – or “Eva” – a beautiful young woman from Argentina. Ambitious Eva escapes poverty by “sleeping her way up the ladder” to achieve political power and celebrity status. After meeting Colonel Juan Domingo Perón, the two plan a political overtaking and Perón wins the presidential bid for Argentina. Despite Eva’s clear love for fame and fortune, she assures the people of Argentina that her “true calling” is charity work, the love for her people and the overall well-being of Argentina. With admiring Argentinian supporters and disapproving Italians, the story highlights the public events that eventually lead to Eva’s impending death.
