The Fargodome is located on the campus of North Dakota State University in Fargo, North Dakota. Owned by the city of Fargo, this large indoor athletic stadium is best known to many in Fargo as the home field for the NDSU Bison football team. The Fargodome also hosts many large concerts, trade shows and other sporting events. Since it opened in 1992, the Fargodome has seen a diverse lineup of acts, including Katy Perry, Pink, Aerosmith, Billy Joel and Garth Brooks. When not hosting a sporting event, concert or tradeshow, Fargodome tickets may be available for events like Disney on Ice or the circus. What is the Fargodome's seating capacity?
The seating capacity of the Fargodome varies depending on the type of event. There are 18,700 seats for football games and over 25,000 for full-arena concerts. The stadium can be set up for smaller events, including half-house and 3/4-house concerts that have 11,000 and 16,000 seats, accordingly. For smaller theater productions like touring Broadway shows, the Fargodome seating capacity is lowered to 3,500 seats.
Is the Fargodome child-friendly?
While it certainly depends on the event, the Fargodome does have a number of features that are helpful to parents. The Tag-a-Tot service is a free way to make sure you'll easily find each other if you and your child become separated. During shows that serve alcohol, there is a special family seating area that is an alcohol-free zone. Finally, all restrooms have baby changing areas.
How is the Fargodome parking situation?
Fargodome parking is very convenient. There are seven parking lots, located on all sides of the stadium. Parking lots open around 2 hours prior to most events. General parking is available for only $5 for many events. There are 50 handicapped parking spots available to those who qualify.
Is the Fargodome a wheelchair-friendly facility?
In compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Fargodome does have seating available for those with limited mobility. The location of the wheelchair-friendly seats varies depending on the specific event but the seating is laid out clearly when buying Fargodome tickets. The Fargodome does have a limited number of wheelchairs available for use as well. These are free of charge and can be checked out from Guest Services. They cannot be reserved before the event.
What kind of food and drink is available during Fargodome events?
Guests are not permitted to bring any outside food or beverages into the Fargodome, but that doesn't mean there aren't good options for food. There are a number of vendors at the Fargodome, including Dominos, Subway and Dippin' Dots as well as plenty of standard concession fare like hot dogs, nachos and popcorn.
