Finding Neverland tells the tale of how the beloved Peter Pan comes to life. Inspired by Allan Knee's book, "The Man Who Was Peter Pan," James Graham wrote the play adaptation of this story. It delves into the life of Peter Pan creator, J. M. Barrie, and the family he used as an inspiration for the Darling family in the book. After a 17-month stretch on Broadway, Finding Neverland's National Tour opened in late 2016 and is set to hit cities, such as Philadelphia, Cincinnati, Miami, Austin, and San Jose.
Finding Neverland Philadelphia's history
The story of Finding Neverland tells the tale of the relationship between J.M. Barrie and newly widowed Sylvia Llewelyn Davies and her four boys, George, Peter, Jack, and Michael. It shows how Barrie's relationship with this family inspired the story of Peter Pan and the boys who don't want to grow up. The play had over 500 Broadway performances before setting off for the national tour. The musical production received two Drama Desk Award nominations, three Drama League Award nominations, and two Astaire Award nominations.
Diane Paulus (Broadway's Finding Neverland, Pippin and Hair) is the director of the Finding Neverland national tour. Other talent crewmembers include Suttirat Anne Larlarb (Broadway's Macbeth, Finding Neverland, and Of Mice and Men) as Costume Designer, Scott Pask (Broadway's Finding Neverland, The Book of Mormon, and Something Rotten!) as Scenic Designer, Tony-award winning Kenneth Posner as Lighting Designer, and Mia Michaels (Broadway's Finding Neverland and TV's So You Think You Can Dance) as Choreographer.

Casting veterans Duncan Steward and Benton Whitley selected an all-star cast for the Finding Neverland, National Tour, including Billy Harrigan Tighe, from Broadway's The Book of Mormon and Pippen, as J. M. Barrie, and John Davidson, from Broadway's Oklahoma!, Foxy and State Fair, as Hook. Other cast members include Lael Van Keuren (Broadway's Sister Act) as Sylvia Llewelyn Davies, and Karen Murphy (Broadway's A Little Night Music and My Vaudeville Man) as Mrs. De Maurier. Child cast stars include Turner Birthisel (Marry Poppins), Connor Jameson Casey (Into the Wild and Marry Poppins), Wyatt Cirbus (Shrek Jr. and Seussical), Tyler Patrick Hennessy (Ragtime and The King and I), and Colin Wheeler (I Am Harvey Milk and Les Miserables).

Grammy-winning songwriter, Eliot Kennedy and British singer Gary Barlow wrote the musical scores for both the Broadway production and the National Tour production of Finding Neverland. Audience members will appreciate a number of popular songs, such as "My Imagination," "Neverland," and "Circus of Your Mind." Other songs include "Believe," "The Dinner Party," "We Own the Night," "Sylvia's Lullaby," "Stronger," "Something about This Night," "Play," "The World Is Upside Down," "When Your Feet Don't Touch the Ground," and "What You Mean to Me."
