Finding Neverland Seattle Tickets
Finding Neverland is a musical that promises to enchant audiences with fun, beauty and a poignant story based on real-life events. Directed by Tony Award-winner Diane Paulus, audiences will find themselves transported through music, imagination, happy thoughts and maybe a little pixie dust to the land where youth lasts forever. Finding Neverland tells the story of author J.M. Barrie’s struggle to spark creativity until he meets a family of boys who draw him into their imaginative play and their lives. National Public Radio says it is “far and away the best musical of the year!” Winner of Broadway.com’s Audience Choice Award for Best Musical, the show continues to win the hearts of audiences everywhere. Before finding fame as the genius who created Peter Pan, J.M. Barrie was a dramatist for London’s theaters.
Finding Neverland begins in the early 1900s as Barrie’s most recent production receives bad reviews leaving him frustrated and in search of ideas for a new play. On a walk through London’s Kensington Gardens, he meets four young boys and their widowed mother. The boys’ make-believe world of play fascinates him. He starts to meet them in the park regularly, to the great displeasure of his wife. As he spends more time with the boys, he becomes a surrogate father to them and a good friend to their mother. These new relationships lead to his newest inspiration!
He decides to write a play to astound the London audience. As his marriage falls apart, Barrie finishes the play and finds a producer who is willing to take a gamble on his newest work called Peter Pan or The Boy Who Never Grew Up. He arranges to have children in the audience; their response to the play, with its heartwarming story of youth, wins over the adult audience. His success does little to cheer him as Barrie finds himself facing a real struggle that makes him want to escape into the happy endings of Neverland.
Finding Neverland comes to Seattle’s historic Paramount Theatre. Located in the heart of downtown Seattle, this majestic landmark provides an ideal environment to see Broadway shows, live concerts, comedy events and other live performances.
