A smorgasbord of neo-soul and indie pop—Fitz
Fitz (short for Fitz and the Tantrums) have created an inspiring mixture of indie pop and neo-soul, with a swirling organ sound at its centre, and great dollops of keyboards, sax, and sumptuous chorus backing vocals, backed by a tapestry of percussion effects. Their very first album of their characteristic smooth, yet funky, soul pop immediately caught the public's attention and shot straight to the top spot of the Billboard Heatseekers Chart. That was back in 2010, and since then they've grown into a tour de force on the live circuit, as well as racking up several successful live TV appearances with the likes of Jimmy Kimmel, Conan, and Jay Leno. This is a band to savour, and we can highly recommend buying or selling Fitz tickets on StubHub.
A fast track to Hollywood pop stardom
Fitz was the brainchild of Michael Fitzpatrick, a band he founded in 2008 on the back of having written a song the very day that he bought his now beloved old, electric organ. Some college friends obliged and after a scant week of rehearsal, they played their debut live show at no less visible venue than the Hotel Cafe in Hollywood. They then went on to other famous Sunset Strip venues like the Viper Room and Spaceland in quick succession. This was followed by a tour with Flogging Molly and The Hepcats. This then led to an opening slot with Maroon 5. All of which happened in a mere 2 years! This should give you a solid indication of the musical excellence and songwriting prowess that you'll unearth when you get Fitz tickets. Much of their success has to do with the golden voice of Noelle Scaggs, who has collaborated with a whole host of famous stars, including the Black-Eyed Peas and Damian Marley.
Touring and guesting with some pop music greats
Fitz took it to even greater heights from there, hitting platinum-level sales figures and grabbing number one spots on a number of Billboard charts, as well as infiltrating more than a few overseas charts as well, including the UK. They have the distinction of having played with one of the most famous '80s two-tone bands, The Specials (they share this honour with Rancid, as it happens), and were invited to guest on the popular webcast hosted by pop rock legend Daryl Hall of Hall & Oates fame. This is a special band, and it's well worth seeking out Fitz tickets on StubHub—you'll soon find out what makes a band that is relatively unknown on these shores so popular across the Atlantic. Whether you love Northern soul, Motown variety or "blue-eyed soul" (or all three), this is a treat lying in wait for you.
