About Fool’s Gold Day Off
Fool’s Gold Day Off went international with a Toronto concert. Growing from that one Toronto show and one Day Off concert per year, to five Day Off concerts each summer, taking over helipads in midtown, urban alleyways, auditoriums and in the heart of the city of Toronto itself.
At the inaugural New York event back in 2010, rappers Yelawolf, Pill and Donnis appeared while DJ’s The Brothers Macklovitch, Just Blaze, the Slow Roast Crew and Nick Catchdubs spun the music. There was also a performance from the band The Suzan. Since then, many other performers have appeared on the Day Off stages. Danny Brown, Chromeo, Cool Kids, Araabmuzik, Leaf, The Lox, DJ Quik, Black Dave and French Montana, among so many others, have performed for this production.
Despite occasional setbacks such as the 2016 edition of Day Off in New York losing its venue just hours before show time, the squad overcomes the troubles and still brings the show to the stage—on this particular day to Queens for an exciting concert.
