Formerly called the Electric Factory, Philadelphia's Franklin Music Hall was once an actual electric factory. Located in the Northern Liberties neighborhood, the converted space was renamed Franklin Music Hall in 2018. Franklin Music Hall is a popular venue for concerts, especially in the rap, electronic, heavy metal, rock and pop genres. When it's not being used for shows, the hall hosts private parties and corporate functions. The standing-room-only capacity of the hall is 2,700. In addition to the main floor, there is a second-floor area that offers a unique vantage point with a great view of the stage and a chance to see backstage. The balcony area is only for the 21-plus crowd and does include a full bar. Some popular Franklin Music Hall events in the past have included headliners like David Bowie, Jay-Z and Coldplay.
