Freedom Hill Amphitheatre is located in Sterling Heights, Michigan. Sterling Heights is a suburb in the Metro Detroit area. This venue is about 25 miles north of the City of Detroit. It is set on a 100-acre park and features a covered pavilion seating and a large lawn area. What is the Freedom Hill Amphitheatre seating capacity?

The covered pavilion has 4,200 seats and the lawn is able to hold about 3,000. You are allowed to bring a chair to sit on if you have lawn seats, but it has to be under 12 inches tall when it is folded. Most people bring a blanket to sit on.

Where are the best Freedom Hill Amphitheatre seats located?

Seats in the pavilion are going to be the best seats to see the stage. It is also covered in the case of inclement weather and you will have an actual chair to sit on. If you are mostly there to hang out, enjoy the weather and listen to the music, the lawn seats are going to be more cost-effective. Public transportation is not really available. There is a bus system within Metro Detroit, but it is not going to be convenient to Freedom Hill.

There is on-site parking, but there may be a fee involved. The parking lot opens at 5:30 pm for an evening show. Guests are allowed to arrive at that time and tailgate or picnic, but a local township ordinance does not permit alcohol in the parking lot.

There are quite a few options for concessions. There is a food court area with pizza, burgers, wrap sandwiches and typical concession foods like nachos and hot dogs. They also serve mixed drinks, craft and draft beers, soda and water. There are many places to find an alcoholic beverage and they have a smoothie stand that serves both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks.

There are no other entertainment options within walking distance to the theatre, but there are many things to do within a 30-minute drive. Including an aquarium, a Metro Park, a water park and multiple museums.
