Located just off I-70 in the heart of Kansas City, Arrowhead Stadium is the home of the Kansas City Chiefs of the National Football League and the former home of the Kansas City Wizards (now Sporting KC) of Major League Soccer between 1996 and 2007. It has also hosted international soccer matches and college football games, including five Big 12 Conference Football Championships. The stadium originally opened in 1972 and underwent a major renovation between 2007 and 2010 that added new high-definition video displays, a digital ribbon board around the interior of the stadium and various other upgrades. Arrowhead Stadium has an approximate seating capacity of 76,416 people, making it one of the largest stadiums in the country. The playing surface consisted of artificial AstroTurf between 1972 and 1993. The Chiefs then switched to Bermuda Grass in 1994. Purchase tickets to your favorite Arrowhead Stadium events at StubHub.
