With an unbelievable arm, the tendency to make the big play at the right moment and a reputation for being both a hardwood and very sharp in terms of understanding offenses and defenses, Stafford was a fairly easy choice for the Detroit Lions, who snagged him with the top pick in the NFL draft in 2009.
