Los Angeles' Loyola Marymount University (also known as LMU) has over 20 NCAA Division I and varsity teams. The LMU Lions compete in the West Coast Conference; the men's basketball team, the women's basketball team and the women's volleyball team play at the Gersten Pavilion. The facility opened in 1981. The Gersten Pavilion is notable not only for its history as an important athletic building on the university's campus, but it also hosted one of the highest-scoring NCAA games of all time as well as the McDonald's Gymnastics Classic in 1983 and the Weightlifting event at the 1984 Summer Olympic Games. With a venue capacity of 4,156, the Gersten Pavilion is 63,000 square feet. With a large scoreboard, high-tech sound and light systems and bleachers that match LMU's colors, the space is a favorite of fans. The best Gersten Pavilion tickets are available at StubHub.
