The Golden Dragon Acrobats were established in 1967 by Lien Chi Chang who included both his son Danny and his daughter in the troupe. In 1984 it was time for Danny to step out of his father's shadow after years of apprenticeship and he took over the company. Danny had begun training as an acrobat at the young age of seven when he was performing in Taiwan under his father's guidance.
