Golden Nugget Atlantic City
Golden Nugget Atlantic City - A-List Entertainment in an Elegant Casino Setting
The Golden Nugget Resort Casino is one of the premier entertainment destinations in Atlantic City, featuring a casino, marina, hotel and two theaters.
Golden Nugget Atlantic City History
The Golden Nugget Atlantic City opened under its original name, Trump's Castle, in 1985. In 1997, it was renamed to Trump's Marina. In spring 2011, Landry's, Inc. purchased the casino and gave it its current name. The complex, which features a broad variety of recreational facilities, casino games, restaurants and retail shops, also includes two theaters: the Grand and the Showroom, each with its own unique characteristics and impressive list of past performers.
Golden Nugget Atlantic City Events
Between its two theaters, Golden Nugget tackles a broad range of entertainment styles and forms for the enjoyment of its guests. While music concerts are the mainstay, Golden Nugget has also played host to a variety of comedians and other types of events. Outside the theaters, the casino arranges events such as yoga classes, women's wellness days and restaurant weeks.
Past performers at Golden Nugget include Third Eye Blind, Whoopi Goldberg, the Golden Boys, Flosstradamus, Smash Mouth and Boz Scaggs.
The Showroom hosts a popular weekly concert series called Flashback Fridays. Each week, a new tribute band is invited to perform in honor of artists from Bon Jovi to Prince and Led Zeppelin to David Bowie.
Golden Nugget Atlantic City Seating Layout
The Golden Nugget Resort Casino features two different theaters. The Grand is a magnificent 16,920 square foot ballroom, where patrons can attend large performances by some of the top entertainers in the industry.
Meanwhile, The Showroom is a much more intimate venue with a capacity of just 500 people. Each of The Showroom's plush, theater-style seats offers a clear view and permits you to watch the show in supreme comfort.
Atlantic City, New Jersey
There are few places in the Mid-Atlantic as exciting and lively as Atlantic City, and there's lots to do and see beyond the doors of Golden Nugget. During the daytime, relax on the wide sand beaches or stroll the boardwalk, stopping in at souvenir shops, sampling local taffy or taking a spin on one of the rides along the way. Climb to the top of the Absecon Lighthouse for an impressive view before descending and returning to the city to check out more live shows. Harrah's Atlantic City offers a great variety of concerts, as does the Borgata Hotel & Casino. Meanwhile, Caesar's Atlantic City has a great selection of theatrical events, from musicals to performances by the Blue Man Group.
The tower of a local radio station, WWFP 90.5 FM, is located on the roof of the Golden Nugget Resort Casino.
