Grand Rapids Drive TicketsThe Grand Rapids Drive, the NBA G-League affiliate of the Detroit Pistons, were founded by relocation. The franchise started out in Anaheim, California, as the Anaheim Arsenal before moving to Springfield, Massachusetts, and being renamed the Springfield Armor. The first eight years of the organization's existence, split between Anaheim and Springfield, was riddled with futility as they only made one playoff appearance during that time, which was also the team's only winning season. At the beginning of the 2014-15 season, it was announced that the team would be relocated again and would be an affiliate of the Detroit Pistons. The Grand Rapids Drive slowly improved each year and made it to the postseason for the first time during the 2017-18 season before going back to the playoffs the next season. The 2019-20 Grand Rapids drive look to make it three consecutive trips to the postseason as they battle their way through the Eastern Conference.
