Great American Beer Festival Tickets
Great American Beer Festival TicketsFounded in 1982, the Great American Beer Festival is one of the largest events for public beer tasting in the US. It also includes a privately judged beer competition for craft beer brewers from all over the country. The annual GABF is the largest US-based event that brings beer brewers and beer enthusiasts together during a massive, three-day festival. Steadily growing since it's inception in Colorado, this festival is a celebration of America's many diverse craft beers and brewing companies of all sizes. This fall event first started in Boulder, Colo., but the growth and evolution of GABF has since required it to be moved to its current location in Denver at the Colorado Convention Center.
To brew or not to brew? While many microbreweries and garage craft brewer enthusiasts go to GABF and enter their beers in the competition, Great American Beer Festival tickets are also available to the general public. Even if you aren't a craft brewer yourself, you can come and participate in the epic tasting of more than 4,000 beers that have been brewed from over 800 of the top breweries in the US. Participating in the tasting will give you access to a wide variety of hand-crafted beer products. You can try just about every type of American beer that is crafted in different regions around the nation.

What is the history of the Great American Beer Festival? The GABF hosted its first event at the Harvard House Hotel. During its initial festival, there were 800 festival attendees, tasting 47 beers from 24 different breweries. In 1984, the event was moved to Denver, Colorado. Because of its popularity, growth and the fact that Currigan Hall was soon to be dismantled, in 2000, GABF moved from Currigan Hall to the Colorado Convention Center. Since then, the convention center is where every GABF has been held.
Is it like a giant bar at GABF?At the main tasting hall, the types of craft beer are arranged alphabetically. To allow attendees to try a wide variety of all of the amazing craft beer that America has to offer, beer is portioned and provided in one-ounce tasting samples.
