Benjamin Laub, better known as Grieves, is an American hip-hop artist who has been in the spotlight since 2007. With numerous studio albums, several EPS and a compilation album with Macklemore under his belt, Grieves is a name known around the globe. His sound is vibrant and full of energy, drawing in crowds of devoted fans wherever he plays.
As Grieves began to build a name for himself, he made one guest appearance after another, performing with artists such as Watsky, Spose and Atmosphere. Initially playing dozens of gigs across the United States, Grieves began to book shows in Sweden, Denmark and Canada. Also appearing at plenty of festivals, including Pot of Gold Fest, Grieves has shared the stage with Milky Chance, Kendrick Lamar and ScHoolboy Q.
Born in Chicago, Illinois, Grieves has lived in New York City, Colorado, San Diego and Seattle. Releasing his first album, Irreversible, in 2007, he has continued to release one studio album after the other. After recording two albums in 2010 and 2011, Winter & the Wolves was released in 2014, peaking at No. 57 on the Billboard 200.
Heavily influenced by indie hip-hop, Grieves has stated that he owes his love of music to his dad. Introducing him to jazz clubs at a young age, once Grieves turned 19, he moved from Colorado to Seattle in order to establish his own musical career. Thanks to his home studio and a supportive local community, he began to flourish.
Prior to his first studio album, Grieves released the EP, Every Hell Has Its Springtime. Since then, his music has been featured in The Washington Post, Seattle Weekly and many other media outlets. Grieves isn't your stereotypical rapper, and those who attend his shows appreciate his unique presence, passion and sound. Some of his most played songs include "On the Rocks" and "Bloody Poetry."

Based in Seattle, Grieves is a name recognized around the world. In his career, he has had many noteworthy performances, collaborating with various artists, both nationally and internationally. He is an incredible artist and performer, playing at sold out shows for over a decade. Initially playing major cities across the United States, Grieves has since travelled to Australia, Europe and Canada.
Grieves has performed at many festivals, appearing five years at the Soundset Music Festival, as well as at Summerfest. This festival also featured artists such as Bruno Mars, Outkast and Ludacris. From Berlin to Vancouver, and everywhere in between, Grieves continues to build his following, drawing in his audience wherever he plays.
