Gryffin is a New York City-based disc jockey, record producer and musician. He is self-classified as a melodic house artist who flawlessly incorporates piano and guitar into his mixes. Gryffin started making music merely to entertain his friends at college parties, never imagining he'd become the worldwide sensation that he is today. Gryffin gained worldwide recognition from his remix work on popular songs like "Talking Body" by Tove Lo, "Desire" by Years and Years and "Animals" by Maroon 5. You can catch Gryffin live at his Gravity Tour that will be spanning North America.
Multitalented and Classically Trained
Dan Griffith, more commonly known by his stage name Gryffin, was born in September 1987 and raised near Silicon Valley in Northern California. His childhood centered around music. He grew up as a classically trained pianist and also learned how to play the guitar early in life. As a teenager, he began playing in bands to sharpen his musical talents. After graduating high school, Gryffin attended the University of Southern California where he studied electrical engineering. Between classes, Gryffin spent the majority of his time alone in his dorm where he would work on his music. In 2015, Gryffin stepped out in front of the world with his debut performance at the SnowGlobe Music Festival. He has since released one album, one extended play and 14 chart-topping singles. His single "Remember" hit No. 1 on the US Dance Club Chart in 2018. He recently relocated from New York City to Los Angeles, California, so that he could be closer to his management and label work.
