Hayden James is an Australian singer, songwriter, DJ and producer. Signed to the Future Classic label, he has built an international fan base with an inspired blend of house, electronic pop and R&B. James has also penned tracks for several other artists, most notably superstar Katy Perry. He rose to prominence when his 2013 single, "Permission to Love," became a top 10 hit on the Australian charts, and continued to build on his success with global 2014 hit, "Something About You."

On top of being a singer, songwriter and producer, James also moonlights as an EDM DJ, occasionally playing sets at music festivals around the world. In 2015 he headed out on his first major Australian tour, dubbed Listen Out, while a year later he embarked on a series of Just A Lover dates to support his single of the same name.
Hayden James has also toured with artists such as ODESZA, Duke Dumont and RÜFÜS. As well as a strong following in his native Australia, Europe and the US, he also has an army of fans in Asia where his music has appeared in various TV commercials.
Hayden James' albums
In 2013 Hayden James released his debut single, "Permission to Love," which became a top 10 hit on the Australian Independent Record Labels Association (AIR) chart. Its success pushed his self-titled first EP to No. 17 on the AIR chart. Later that same year, he released his second single, "Embrace," and followed it up in 2014 with "Something About You." The song features fellow Australian electronica artist George Maple and charted in five countries including Italy, France and Germany. After a short break, James released the single, "Just A Lover," in 2016.

Following the global success of his single "Something About You," many new opportunities emerged for James. He signed a U.S. deal with Republic Records and a European deal with Virgin Records in 2015. A series of Hayden James tour dates were also announced, including an appearance at Coachella. Previously he had performed as a DJ at Splendour In The Grass, an annual Australian music festival.
In 2017 James landed a song on Katy Perry's Witness album. "Deja Vu," which James co-wrote and co-produced, came about after Perry contacted him in 2016 to work on some material for her upcoming LP. Initially believing the call to be a prank, he then flew to the US to work with Perry after his manager assured him the request was real.
