Honne TicketsThe electronic music group Honne consists of a duo from Bow, London. The brainchild of producer James Hatcher and singer and producer Andy Clutterbuck, Honne became a household name after the release of its singles "Warm on a Cold Night" and "All in the Value." The duo writes and produces its music under its own independent label, Tatemae Recordings. Since achieving international success, Honne has performed in several music festivals and award shows around the world.
From London to the WorldWith a unique name and sound, Honne captured not only the attention of Great Britain but the whole world as well. The name "Honne" came from a Japanese concept that translates to "true feelings." Honne released its first album in 2016, just two years after making it big with "Warm on a Cold Night." After achieving major success with its third EP, Coastal Love, the duo toured Europe and other parts of the world. Its international stardom was further cemented after it collaborated with British soul singer JONES on the song "No Place Like Home." In 2018, it released its second full-length album Love Me/Love Me Not. Its sophomore release marked a significant departure as it is heavily influenced by R&B music similar to that of Chance the Rapper. The duo explained the changes were spurred by a desire to release more upbeat songs. Honne also dropped a hint on a possible collaboration with K-pop group BTS in the near future. The potential team-up started after exchanging messages with RM of the Korean boy band, who first expressed his love for Honne through a tweet. On what inspires them to make music, both Hatcher and Clutterbuck credited love. They explained that while love is not an original subject, they are infusing their own melody to tell it from a different perspective. This is a testament to the Japanese term from which the band took its name.
