Huddersfield Town AFC tickets are available for both their home fixtures and away matches on StubHub.
Giants of the pre-war era
Founded in 1907, Huddersfield Town AFC entered the Football League three years later and, after staving off a potential merger with arch rivals Leeds United, began their ascent to the top of the English game. After achieving promotion to Division One, the club won their first major trophy, the FA Cup, in 1922 under legendary manager Herbert Chapman. The Terriers then became the first ever English side to win three consecutive league titles in the mid-'20s, also finishing runners-up in both Division One and the FA Cup three times before the breakout of World War II. The club struggled to maintain their astonishing success in the post-war era and, after losing their Division One status in 1972, spent the next 45 years bouncing around the lower leagues of English football. But there were still several notable moments. In 1980 they lifted the Fourth Division title; in 1994 they moved from Leeds Road to their new home, the Kirklees Stadium; while in the 2010-11 season, they achieved the second-longest unbeaten streak in the domestic game. The new Huddersfield Town AFC
The seeds for Huddersfield Town AFC's return to the top-flight were sown when they beat Sheffield United in the League One playoff final's longest ever penalty shootout. The club then appointed their first non-British coach in their history, former US international and German-born David Wagner, in 2015 and two years later, secured promotion to the Premier League with a playoff victory over Reading. Against the odds, the Terriers only spent a solitary week in the relegation zone during the entire season and, thanks to memorable wins over Newcastle United and regular champions Manchester United, guaranteed their safety with a game to spare. With several World Cup internationals in their squad, including Australia's Aaron Mooy, Germany's Erik Durm and the Netherlands' Terence Kongolo, as well as regular goal scorer Steve Mounie and Laurent Depoitre, the Yorkshiremen then continued to build upon their long-overdue return to English football's top tier. You can catch them in action at the 24,500-capacity Kirklees Stadium by purchasing Huddersfield Town AFC tickets on StubHub.
