A small but courageous team that competes alongside the best in the world
Although they’ve never reached the heights of the "Big Six" (the top six teams in international ice hockey), they’ve always been a tenacious national side. One of their biggest achievements was winning Group B of Division I (the Second Division) of the world championships in 2008, which promoted them to 2009’s Elite Division to compete alongside the world’s best, including the Sweden National Ice Hockey Team and USA Hockey Men’s National Team. To achieve this, they pulled off an incredible feat, winning every single game in their group against Ukraine, Lithuania, Estonia, Japan, and Croatia. They repeated this success in 2015, by being promoted to the Elite Division once again, beating the Group’s host nation Poland in Kraków. It was also a tournament where one of Hungary’s best players, Andrew Sarauer, was chosen for an award as the best forward. Be sure to see one of their thrilling match-ups by grabbing a ticket, or if you already have one you don’t need, you can also sell your Hungary National Ice Hockey Team tickets on StubHub.
Experience the Hungarian ice hockey team competing in the world championships

Although no players have made it into the NHL (as of 2019), many of them players have reached the NHL Entry Draft, including Tamás Gröschi (Edmonton Oilers) and Levente Szuper (Calgary Flames). One of the team's most famous games was their incredible 31–1 thrashing of Belgium in 1971.
