Investors Group Stars On Ice TicketsStars On Ice, sponsored by Investors Group and other organizations, was founded in 1986 by world-renowned figure skater Scott Hamilton after he finished performing with Ice Capades. Within a few months of its founding, Stars on Ice launched its first tour, playing five American cities. Artists who have taken to the rink to perform with Stars on Ice in tours past include Jo Jo Starbuck and Ken Shelley, Tara Lipinski, Kristi Yamaguchi, Paul Wylie, Brian Orser, Jayne Torvill & Christopher Dean, Sarah Hughes and Alexei Yagudin, among others. To date, the Stars on Ice tour has completed over 1,500 performances including yearly tours of the United States, Japan and Canada.
Skating Down the HouseAt every Stars on Ice event, audiences are wowed with dazzling combination of solo and group numbers performed by some of the world's most accomplished and award-winning figure skaters supported by teams of choreographers and lighting and set designers. The current Investors Group Stars on Ice tour was directed and choreographed by Jeffrey Buttle and produced by Byron Allen with Jay Ogden executive producing. The creative team behind Stars on Ice led by Jef Billings has won a trio of Emmy Awards: in 2003 and 2005 for choreography and in 2004 for costume design. Stars on Ice was also declared the Best Sports Special by the ACE Cable Awards.
