Jacobs Pavilion is a 5,000-seat open-air amphitheater located on the west bank of the Cleveland Flats. Pavilion seating, which includes standard bleacher and festival-style seating, permits a postcard-worthy view of the Cuyahoga River as well as downtown Cleveland's city lights and illuminated bridges. Jacobs Pavilion is part of the Nautical Entertainment Complex. Opened in 1987, the arena has many previous names: Nautica Stage, Scene Pavilion, The Plain Dealer Pavilion and Nautical Pavilion. Jacobs Pavilion is exclusively a musical concert venue, drawing global crowds and top international acts annually, such as Kacey Musgraves, Papa Roach, ZZ Top and Alice Cooper. The live concert season takes place each summer as part of a roster of events and acts. The roster boasts 15 to 20 events spanning dates from early summer to early fall.
