Jon Langston background
Jon Langston comes from Loganville, Georgia. He played football at Gardner-Webb University until he was sidelined by concussions. Langston is a gifted singer and songwriter, but for a long time, football was his number one ambition. Losing that sport was difficult for him. Langston has, however, said that when God closed the door on his football career, Luke Bryan opened another one.
Langston, a longtime fan of Bryan's, had often seen him gig in Athens as a youngster. His family got him tickets to concerts when Bryan became a headlining country star. Then, in 2018, Jon Langston signed to Luke Bryan's label, 32 Bridge Entertainment.
Jon Langston is the type of everyman who's made for country music, singing about women, football, sturdy boots and durable trucks. The biggest turning point of Langston's career was picking up his guitar again in 2009 after being forced to give football up. He started as an indie artist before becoming a major country star.
