The band's songs have been featured on television shows as diverse as Friday Night Lights and Boardwalk Empire. Their version of "Sugar Sugar" was even selected as the theme song for the TLC series Cake Boss and "Young & Free" was featured heavily during the 2010 ESPN College Football Season and on Fox Sports Channel.
Jonathan and his friend Brandon Pinckard began playing guitar together in their teens when they discovered that they shared a number of similar musical influences. Their combination of blues and hard rock was a perfect fit; they were soon joined by bassist Nick Jay and drummer Jordan Cain. The band had only been together for a few months before recording their first album Hot Trottin' with producer Chris Bell in 2007. They wasted no time in touring and soon added Emotion Brown and Cain's wife, Bethany, on vocals to round out their sound. After finding huge success with The Northern Lights, Tyler is flying solo on this year's tour; fans can rest assured that the music is just as hard hitting and powerful.
Within a year of recording their debut album, they moved from local touring in Texas to national gigs opening for major acts such as Erykah Badu, The Black Crowes and Heart. After playing at the 2008 SXSW festival, they were signed by F-Stop Music/Atlantic Records and awarded the "Best Blues Act" by the Dallas Observer Music Awards. More awards and recognition followed, including Best Male Vocalist and Best Blues Act and "Reader's Pick - Best Local CD Release". Their live shows were garnering praise all across the country as they continued playing at festivals and with groups that matched their hard rock sound.
After Hot Trottin' was released in 2007, the band followed with Pardon Me in 2010, featuring the title track and "Gypsy Woman" as the two biggest singles. One music video was debuted exclusively on Blender.com. Tyler's debut solo album Holy Smokes will be released during his tour this year; there is already a huge buzz surrounding his two singles, "Riverbottom," and "Everything Was Cool in 2002".
