Kano - Back And Better Than Ever With A UK Tour
It's been a fantastic few months for this British MC. After a six-year break, his fifth studio LP Made in the Manor sailed straight into the top 10 of the UK album charts. It shows he's at the forefront of a grime revival, and the record was included on the Mercury Shortlist for 2016 alongside fellow urban artist Skepta. Collaborations with other grime artists such as Wiley, Giggs and Jme helped to seal its massive success, and a documentary of the same name was released alongside it, charting the creative process behind the LP. Sure to feature new track '3 Wheel-Ups' and fan favourite 'P's and Q's', his UK tour kicks off in October, hitting popular venues in London, Birmingham and Liverpool as well as a brief whistle-stop in Croatia. Kano Biography - A Life Of Grime
Born Kane Robinson in 1985, the Grime MC was once a promising footballer, representing West Ham and Chelsea's youth teams before pursuing a music career full time. Produced in 2002, his first solo song 'Boys Love Girls' was later remastered and released by fellow artist Dizzee Rascal, before massive underground hits 'P's & Q's' and 'Typical Me' came out. First album Home Sweet Home followed in 2005, and instantly proved the highest new entry in the charts, going on to earn gold status. London Town arrived in 2007, featuring collaborations with Craig David, Kate Nash and Damon Albarn, with 140 Grime St out the next year on new record label Bigger Picture. 2010 LP Method to The Maadness featured Wiley, Hot Chip and Chase & Status, and proved Robinson still had his edge. After putting his fans through a six-year wait, the lyrical legend marked his return with fifth album Made in the Manor proving his first to crack the top 10, cementing his status as one of Britain's most successful grime artists.
