Born Carl Garsbo in Gothenburg, Sweden in 1995, Kasbo got his start in music in 2013, independently releasing several songs. A DJ and producer of electronic music, Kasbo went on to self-release his first Extended Play Umbrella Club EP as a free digital download. Later that year, Kasbo was featured on the SnowGlobe Festival mix SnowTape Vol. 5 with the track "ID." Two of his next collaborative efforts - "Found You" with Chelsea Cutler and "Lay It on Me" with Keiynan Lonsdale - both debuted on Billboard charts. Kasbo released Places We Don't Know, his debut album, in 2018 and continues to perform in sold-out venues around the world.

Within just the first two years of his presence on the electronic music scene, Kasbo notched almost 50 million streams. In addition to his own singles, Kasbo has produced remixes of songs by other artists, like "Ceilings" by Local Natives, "Happier" by Ed Sheeran and "Riptide" by Vance Joy. His remix of "Indian Summer" by Jai Wolf appeared in the Kindred Spirits Remixes EP.
