Wyatt toured with the play "Love on Board" and starred as "Angela" in the 2014 movie "In God's Hands." Additionally, she has appeared on "The Monique Show," "Soul Train" and "Chelsea Lately." One of her songs, "It's Going Down," was also featured on the soundtrack to the 2002 hit romance film "Brown Sugar." Wyatt is also the mother of six children.
Wyatt comes from a family with deep roots in the Midwest gospel scene; her mother, Lorna, and father, Keever, were both musicians, and her younger brother also works as a musician. She showcased a precocious, prodigious musical talent as a child, and performed in schools and other venues throughout her adolescence. Her talent quickly earned her buzz on the Chicago music scene, and she released a single at the age of 15 entitled "My First Love" with the singer Avant. The strong reception to the single helped to bring Wyatt her first solo contract.
Wyatt had an immediate hit with her first record, "Soul Sista." Buoyed by the production of industry veteran Steve Huff, the record produced five chart-topping singles: "Used to Love," "Nothing in This World," "I Don't Wanna," "If Only You Knew" and "Bad Boy." Avant made guest appearances on two of the songs. The record hit #33 on the Billboard Top 200, and climbed up all the way to #5 on the R&B/Hip-Hop album chart. The single "Nothing in This World" went to #4 on the R&B singles chart.
Following several years and several attempted follow-ups, Wyatt went back to the charts with her second studio album "Who Knew?" from Shanachie Records in 2010. Made up of songs from the unreleased albums "Emotional Rollercoaster" and "Ghetto Rose," the album's title track hit #38 on the R&B singles chart, and the album placed on the Billboard 200 and reached #35 on the U.S. R&B chart. In 2011, her third album, "Unbelievable," was released, featuring the single "Saturday Love" with guest vocals from Ruben Studdard. In 2014, she released a new EP, the acclaimed "Ke'Ke" with the single "Lie Under You."
