Situated in the heart of Seattle, KeyArena is a mixed-purpose venue known for hosting sports events, ice shows, circuses and concerts. The arena opened in 1962 under its original name, the Washington State Pavillion. Its official name is the Seattle Center Arena, with KeyArena being its colloquial title. Over the years, several regional and national sports franchises called the arena home, such as the Seattle Storm of the WNBA from 2000 to present, the NBA's Seattle Supersonics and Seattle University Redhawks men's basketball team. KeyArena has an adjustable seating capacity that undergoes rearrangement for different events. Recent acts featured include JoJo Siwa of Nickelodeon, David Gray and Nick Jr. Live!, where Nick Jr. characters like Blue and Dora come to life on stage.
