Lancaster and Company, or LANco for short, is a dynamic up-and-coming country music band formed in Nashville, Tennessee, in 2015. Their first album, aptly named
, was released in April, 2016. Their first single from the album was Long Live Today, and it made it to No. 46 on the US Hot Country Charts. Their next single, Greatest Love Story, made it all the way to No. 1 and was used in episodes of Netflix's
and on ABC's
. Their full-length debut album,
, was released in January 2018 and made it to No. 20 on the US Chart and No. 1 on the US Country Chart.
While playing gigs at local dives and honky-tonks, the band members still maintained day jobs. Thanks to drummer Trip Howell's job at a carpet warehouse, the band had a place to sneak into and practice together at night. Additionally, thanks to lead vocalist Brandon Lancaster's job working concessions at Nashville's
, they were discovered. Apparently, Lancaster recognized music producer, Jay Joyce, during a
concert. He immediately shut down his register and went to talk with him. He left with Joyce's phone number and eventually performed for him. They were later signed to Arista Nashville.
