About Las Vegas Aces
The Las Vegas Aces are one of the WNBA's premier franchises, with three championships in four years and a home arena that matches the energy of the city itself. The Aces play at Michelob Ultra Arena inside Mandalay Bay, where a sellout crowd has become the standard since the team became the first in WNBA history to sell out season tickets in 2024. Las Vegas Aces tickets put you in the building for a team that has defined a dynasty in women's basketball.
The franchise traces its roots back to 1997 as the Utah Starzz, one of the eight original WNBA teams. After relocating to San Antonio in 2003 and playing there as the Silver Stars (later the Stars), the team moved to Las Vegas ahead of the 2018 season. That same year, the Aces selected A'ja Wilson first overall in the WNBA Draft, a pick that changed the trajectory of the entire organization. Under head coach Becky Hammon, who joined in 2022 after a playing career that included multiple All-Star selections with the franchise during its San Antonio era, the Aces won their first championship in 2022 by defeating the Connecticut Sun in four games. That title was the first professional sports championship in Las Vegas history.
The Aces defended their crown in 2023, beating the New York Liberty in the Finals to become the first team to win back-to-back WNBA championships since the Los Angeles Sparks accomplished the feat in 2001 and 2002. In 2025, the Aces completed a sweep of the Phoenix Mercury in the Finals for their third title in four seasons, cementing their place as a WNBA dynasty.
