Liacouras Center is a multi-purpose venue situated on the Temple University Campus. Opened in 1997, it was originally called The Apollo of Temple, a reference to the Greek Temple of Apollo as well as the Apollo Theater in Harlem, New York City. The Liacouras Center seats over 10,000 people, making it the largest indoor Philadelphia venue north of City Hall. The center includes the Esther Boyer Theater, a small setup of 1,000 to 5,000 seats for more intimate gatherings, and the Independence Blue Cross Recreation Center (IBC), a state-of-the-art rec space featuring a gym, courts and other training facilities. Are Liacouras Center events accessible by public transportation?
Yes, the center and its events are accessible by public transportation. Southeastern Pennsylvania Transit Authority (SEPTA) has trains serving Broad Street night and day. Take any Broad Street train to Cecile B. Moore Avenue. The Liacouras Center is two minutes away by foot. There are also SEPTA bus routes serving the area as well as SETPTA Regional Rail and trolley routes.

There are several wonderful places to park within the vicinity of the Liacouras Center. There is the Liacouras Garage connected to the actual center. There are the Cecile B. Moore lot, the Tuttleman Lot, the 15th Street Lot and the Temple Towers. Parking fees range from $3 to $30. All lots accept cash and credit.
Can you bring food if you have tickets?
No, you cannot bring any food or drink into the venue even if you have Liacouras Center tickets. The arena boasts a food court on premises.
