The Lion King musical debuted on Broadway in 1997 and was an instant success. The stage production adheres well to the source material, the 1992 Disney movie, though it does change some aspects to better adapt it to the stage. The musical's success earned it a national touring production in 2002. The National tour brings the record-breaking musical to fans throughout North America. This gives them the chance to experience The Lion King without having to make the trip to New York.Love Shows the Way
The Lion King tells the story of a diverse kingdom of animals that live in Africa. The story begins with the birth of King Mufasa's son, Simba. Mufasa teaches Simba about courage and honor in the hopes that Simba will one day make a good king. Mufasa's brother, the power-hungry Scar, kills the king and convinces Simba that it was his fault. Young Simba runs away to exile himself while Scar goes back to take the role of king. Scar's rule proves disastrous, and he reigns over the starving animals with an iron fist. Simba finds friends in his exile and grows into a young lion. While away, he learns courage and strength, but he never considers returning to the kingdom. His childhood love sets out to find him after King Scar tries to make her his wife. She finds Simba and tells him of the terror that Scar is inflicting on the Kingdom. Simba must decide if he has the courage to return to the kingdom, confront Scar, and claim his kingdom.Where can I buy The Lion King El Paso tickets?
