The 1990s ushered in an interesting era of music, and one of the genres that received the most attention was the post-grunge set. When post-grunge music could be heard on just about every radio station in the country, Lit was gaining momentum with their innovative sound. Fans began flocking to their tour dates to catch all of the musical action live.
The history of Lit dates back to 1990 when they formed in Orange County, California as Razzle. They eventually changed their name and tweaked their sound to become Lit. As their sound developed, so did their fan base, and they were soon the local darlings at California concert venues. Prior to signing a big record deal, Lit released both an EP and a full-length album.
Lit's mainstream exposure came after the release of their 1999 album, A Place in the Sun. That album yielded hit singles like "My Own Worst Enemy" and "Miserable" and turned them into household names in the rock world. Since then, the band has continued to release more albums, much to the delight of fans, along with booking concert dates frequently.
