Acrobatic Horses? Fire? Motocross? That's Right!
Previously held at Liverpool's Echo Arena, this variety of equestrian treats showcases the best in competitive horse events and showcases some of the finest riders, including global stars and Olympic talents. In 2014, Olympic show jumping gold-medallist and proud Liverpudlian Peter Charles launched the first show by leaping over the 'Abbey Road' show jumping fence from the Games in London 2012. The elite riders will compete for both a healthy cash prize and the Grand Prix Liver Bird Show Jumping Trophy! For those of us not competing, the three-day event comprises of live music, exquisite food and drink, shopping and live entertainment to ease the tension between the heats. In 2018, acts included jaw-dropping freestyle motocross and the premiere of Gilles Fortier's PHOENIX, an epic spectacle of equestrian acrobatics, pyrotechnics and haute école. Who knows what else this one-of-a-kind show could bring! Whatever it is, it's surely a New Year's weekend not to forget, so buy your Liverpool International Horse Show tickets, available via StubHub now.
Liverpool: Historic City of Sport, Music and Culture
Despite having to cut the final session of the 2017 show short due to a fire in the multi-storey car park adjacent to the arena, organiser and promoter Nina Barbour hasn't been deterred from wanting to continue this fantastic event in Liverpool. Birthplace of The Beatles and many other musical heroes such as Echo and the Bunnymen and Circa Waves, Liverpool holds dear its history with music, as well as football, where Liverpool FC maintain their position as one of the most successful clubs ever. Thanks to the efforts of Liverpool's emergency services, no one was harmed during the fire and all 150 horses stabled on the ground floor of the car park were unscathed. However, a whopping 1400 cars were destroyed in the blaze! Yet in the spirit for which the city has become internationally recognised, the show must go on! Experience the magic with Liverpool International Horse Show tickets available to buy and sell via StubHub now.
