Consider LoCash the comeback kids of country music. Preston Brust and Chris Lucas transformed the country music scene for years as hit songwriters, meanwhile silently plugging away with their own music as the LoCash Cowboys, later abbreviated to LoCash. They released their first, self-titled album independently in 2008, leading to a contract with Average Joes.
Preston Brust and Chris Lucas met at the Nashville Wildhorse Saloon, where they worked in the DJ booth. Their musical influences are inspired by everything from Gospel (from their childhood days) to Hard Rock (like Motley Crue and Quiet Riot).
After going from LoCash Cowboys to LoCash, the band signed a new deal with Reviver Records. The new name gave the duo an underlying current of new and revived energy, but the music stayed the same with the same sound fans have come to know and love. The duo is confident that their songs and live performances are at the top of their game.
The first single from that deal, "I Love This Life," catapulted their career to new heights and scored the duo a No. 5 hit.
"Here Comes Summer" debuted at No. 60 on Hot Country Songs in 2010, while "Keep in Mind" reached the Top 40 in 2011 and "You Got Me" reached No. 52. In 2012, LoCash released the single "C.O.U.N.T.R.Y." It was later included on the Mud Digger, Vol. 3 album and the video premiered on GAC later that year. Their single "I Know Somebody" from the 2016 album The Fighters, peaked at No. 1 on Country Airplay and No. 4 on Hot Country Songs.
Other highlights include appearances on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, the TODAY Show, Times Square on New Year's Eve and the Grand Ole Opry. LoCash have also made a big international splash with tour dates in Germany and Switzerland, and several special tours for the U.S. military. Their love of the outdoors has led to appearances on All Star Cast.
Although they have been in the business for more than a decade, their story is far from over. LoCash puts on several concerts all over the country every year.
Chris and Preston believe in giving back to their community. They actively participate in charities such as D.A.R.E. (substance abuse prevention education program that seeks to prevent use of controlled drugs, membership in gangs, and violent behavior), St. Jude's Children's Hospital (pediatric treatment and research for children's diseases), and the T.J. Martell Foundation (supports research for leukemia, cancer and AIDS).
