With so many actors and musicians living in the region, Los Angeles is a great place to enjoy some of the best in live entertainment, and this translates to a slew of annual festivals in the region. Not too far outside the city, Coachella Music Festival takes place in Indio outside of Joshua Tree National Park. The Stagecoach Country Music Festival and the Desert Generator Festival are other fixtures of the music festival scene.

Sports fans will enjoy the opportunity to witness the Los Angeles Dodgers in action at Dodger Stadium, or, if baseball isn't your thing, catch the Los Angeles Lakers at the Staples Center, which also hosts major touring concert acts. The Hollywood Bowl is another major entertainment venue, as are the Greek Theatre, an exciting outdoor venue, and the beautiful El Rey Theatre.
