Back in the day, it was Johnny Unitas who helped build out the program, but other incredible players like Deion Branch, Ted Washington, Bruce Armstrong and many more also came through the program as well, helping them earn a reputation for developing many of the top stars in the game. Over the years, since the program was first founded in 1912, the Cardinals have won more than 450 different regular season games and have won eight different conference titles, including two from the Missouri Valley, three from conference USA and three more from the Big East.
