Love Never Dies Seattle Tickets
Love Never Dies Seattle TicketsSeattle's Paramount Theatre welcomes Andrew Lloyd Webber's Love Never Dies. The Seattle run of Love Never Dies is part of the larger Love Never Dies tour of North America. The tour reflects a massive retooling of the original version of the show that premiered at the Adelphi Theatre in London, England, in 2010. This reimagining was the work of an Australian team that included director Simon Phillips of Priscilla Queen of the Desert: The Musical, 2011 Astaire Award-winner and choreographer Graeme Murphy, costume and set designer Gabriela Tylesova, sound designer Mick Potter and lighting designer Nick Schlieper.
The Phantom ReturnsLove Never Dies is the long-awaited sequel to Andrew Lloyd Webber's award-winning, record-breaking musical The Phantom of the Opera. It takes place in 1907, a decade after the Phantom vanished from the Paris Opera House at the end of the original The Phantom of the Opera. The Phantom escaped to Coney Island in New York, where he delights among the carnival freak show lifestyle, but he continues to yearn for his music protégée and beloved Christine, now a world-renowned soprano. When she and her family, husband Raoul and son Gustave, visit New York so that Christine can perform there, the Phantom finds out and lures them all to Coney Island to try to woo her back. The original run of Love Never Dies was nominated for seven Olivier Awards. Since its release, a DVD of the Australian production, a cast recording of the London production and a concept album inspired by the show have been released.
