Loyola Greyhounds Lacrosse TicketsThe Loyola University Maryland men's lacrosse program has been an institution ever since their inaugural season back in 1938. The team experienced an early mix of successes and losses but really picked up steam under head coach Dave Cottle, who led the men’s lacrosse team for almost 20 years from 1983 to 2001. During that time, the Greyhounds reached the NCAA Tournament 14 times. Following Cottle’s departure after the 2001 season, the Greyhounds didn't make it back to the NCAA Championship games until 2007, a year after Charley Toomey returned to his alma mater as a coach. The Greyhounds have enjoyed a number of winning seasons under Toomey, reaching the NCAA Tournament 10 times as of 2019 and winning the NCAA national title in 2012. Recently, several athletes have made a name for themselves on the field, including Pat Spencer, an attackman on the team who is the recipient of the 2019 Tewaaraton Award as the best college lacrosse player of that year.
